Academy of ICT Essentials for Government Leaders
The first two modules of the Academy of ICT Essentials for Government Leaders, was held in Apia, July 9-10th. Topics covered were the "Linkage between ICT applications and Meaningful Development" and "ICT for Development (ICTD) Policy, Process and Governance." The first topic focused on how ICT can be used to reach the Millennium Development Goal targets. The second topic focused on developing policy, and looked in depth at Samoa's National ICT Strategy.
Key Government public servants from Samoa attended the training, as well as Government representatives from other pacific nations and local ICT related stakeholders. The workshop aimed to open discussions and share knowledge and experience.
